2026 Board Of Directors Nominations - Now Open


CALL FOR 2026 REALTOR® LEADER NOMINATIONS
Eligible candidates for nominations must be members in good standing with the Tacoma-Pierce County Association of REALTORS®. Board members are required to attend a 1.5-hour meeting each month and participate in other Association activities.
All nominees must be active TPCAR members in good standing, actively engaged in the real estate business, and hold a current real estate license from the State of Washington.
General Duties of the TPCAR Board of Directors
TPCAR’s Board of Directors is responsible for guiding the association in alignment with its Bylaws, setting policy, and ensuring the organization’s mission is carried out effectively.
Meetings: Directors meet regularly throughout the year; directors are expected to make every effort to attend all scheduled meetings.
Engagement: Directors should make every attempt to attend all major association functions, representing the Board and engaging with members.
Committee Service: In addition to Board duties, each Director serves on at least one committee—Government Affairs, Member Services, Grievance, Professional Standards, Diversity, or a PAG, subcommittee, or work group.
- Knowledge: Directors are expected to stay informed on the accomplishments of TPCAR, Washington REALTORS®, and NAR to be ready to discuss these with members.
2026 Seats up for election
- Must have served at least two years as a member of the TPCAR Board of Directors within the last five years, or;
- Must have served at WR and/or NAR (i.e., committee member, Board member, director) for at least a two-year term within the last five years.
- Must have served at least two years as a member of the TPCAR Board of Directors or must have served at least two years on the Finance Committee at TPCAR, WR or NAR.
For this election cycle, the following positions will be elected:
- Peninsula (one, 2-year position)
- East County* (one, 2-year position)
- West County* (one, 2-year position)
